Dramatic health gains predicted for Texas Medicare Demonstration Project.

2004 APR 19 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- XLHealth Executive Vice President Paul Serini announced that its disease management program will dramatically improve health care outcomes for the seriously ill Texans who are part of its Medicare Disease Management Demonstration project.

Serini, basing the company's outcome prediction on past experience, said that over a 3-year period, in aggregate, the approximately 10,000 patients enrolled in the XLHealth program will see a 50% reduction in amputations and other serious diabetes foot complications and a 50% decrease in repeat heart failure events.

Mourners remember singer Robert Goulet at Las Vegas funeral

Mourners and fans memorialized singer Robert Goulet with tributes to his music and his humor.

A Friday funeral service in Las Vegas included Goulet's signature song, "If Ever I Would Leave You," as well as farewell poems Goulet wrote before his death Oct. 30 at age 73.

(ADPnews) - Oct 20, 2009 - Deutsche Bank (ETR:DBK) may be interested in buying the 135 branches Italian Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS) is selling for antitrust reasons, German daily Handelsblatt said Tuesday quoting financial sources.

'Scrap WiMax licence rule to benefit public'.

Dec. 13--A National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) move to grant new licences for WiMax wireless broadband services appears to favour Shin Satellite Plc, local Internet service providers claim.

They say that WiMax should be categorised as a "citizens band" in the industry, in line with global standards.

Citizens bands give interested Internet providers free access to operate next-generation broadband services to the public without having to apply for a new licence.
