Fed: Costello says domestic economy has some robustness

CANBERRA, Dec 5 AAP - Treasurer Peter Costello said today Australia's economy had a
good deal of robustness left in it.

He said while there was a downturn in the international economy the domestic economy
had strengthened.

"The domestic economy has strengthened at a time when the international economy has
turned down," he said.

"That has been good for economic growth here in Australia.

"I believe that the domestic economy has quite a good deal of robustness left in it."
