NSW: Missing bushwalkers safe, reunited with families

SYDNEY, April 22 AAP - Bushwalkers who activated a distress beacon in the Snowy Mountains
yesterday have been reunited with their families.

Police said the six women were found at 7.25am (AEST) at White's River near Guthega.

They were transported to Guthega by a Southcare Rescue Helicopter and reunited with
their families.

Police said the group of six women had been due to return from their trip today but
due to the illness of one member, activated a radio distress beacon mid-afternoon yesterday.

Police said they were all safe and well.
